Our San Francisco correspondant, Aaron Brown (no, not that Aaron Brown), on attending a Lou Reed show:
So Lou was fantastic. He played a really chill set. I was also reassured that Lou is still cool, which makes me happy. But to top it all off, fucking Tai Chi Master Ren took it all to a new level. I guess he tours with Lou now. See, Lou can sing "Perfect Day" by himself, and it's good, but when you throw in Tai Chi Master Ren in a red silk outfit doing interpretive Tai Chi, it changes everything. Tai Chi Master Ren is the man.
